Purpose of the Role
To manage the complete travel requirements of the GSA airlines and walk-in client, which involves conducting research and collecting information on the destinations, flights & hotels which suits the clientele.
To be first point of contact to provide travel details and up-selling of related product and this within the guidelines of our company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – GSA /Airlines
- Handling incoming travel request (booking tickets, hotels, transfer & etc) by email & phone.
- Updated on daily basis on principal’s product.
- Handling retail counter and providing services to walk in passenger as per airline policy.
- Handling queries on holiday/leisure products both FIT/GIT by providing complete information on destination and principal product to client.
- Follow process of seeking appropriate approval’s before offering services.
- Actively up-selling and cross selling of our various products
- Handling group queries by liaising with GSA Sales Manager - AUH.
- Handle telephonic queries/or issues of all passengers and agents to offer best solutions to them effectively and efficiently at all times.
- Regularly update agents/clients about the fares, promotions (if any) and overall product details.
- Group Handling:
- Quoting the best fare available to capture sales.
- PNR creation and Group Ticketing.
- Providing assistance to all other GSA locations and resolving their issues, if any, with the HQ.
- Monitoring and updating the GSA Sales Manager – AUH about the competitor’s products to ensure market share increases.
- Providing complete support to Sales Team to ensure that all Sales objectives are met.
- To ensure at all the time company policies are followed in issuance of revenue documents to the client
- To provide daily reports to GSA Sales Manager – AUH on operational activities & sales
- To provide feedback on the daily operational processes and commercial relationship with travel agents
- To comply with company regulations while making the itinerary.
Skills/Qualifications
Aviation / IATA certification
Other relevant supporting certificates related to leisure travel & auxiliary courses
Computer literate in MS Office & Windows
Planning, organizing, strategic thinking and analytical skills
Able to use GDS for flights booking, online hotels & rail booking systems for other ground arrangement bookings
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in travel or airline industry
Competencies
To tailor make and customise trip plans, itineraries for Business/Holidays packages as per clientele requirements.
Geographical knowledge
Knowledge on varies Business/Holidays destination in the world.
Negotiation & persuasion skills with clients and travel agents
Complexity
- Need more exposure to popular Business/Holidays destination to work with clientele.
- To keep up to date information on travel documentation, local customs and other travel related information.
- Multilanguage skill
